Our Veterinary Team
Meet the caring veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and vet assistants who lead our team:
In October 2021, Dr. Marr took a significant step forward by acquiring Genesee Valley Veterinary Hospital. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to build a team of dedicated professionals who share her commitment to providing exceptional care and forging lasting relationships with our clients.
In her spare time, Shauna is passionate about natural healing modalities and is certified in Transformational Life Coaching and The Body Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson. Shauna loves the opportunity to help streamline the business aspect of the hospital and support her sister so that she can focus on being such a great doctor.
Rachael has three rescue animals–two cats and a dog. She also enjoys camping and spending time with her family and her animals. Rachael would like to experience treating elephants, as they are her favorite animal, and may be interested in specializing in Zoology.
Rachael comes to work every day because of her first dog Polly who inspired her to start working in veterinary medicine, and working with clients motivates her to help every dog and cat possible. Seeing the owners' faces light up when we treat their pets as our own makes her love for this line of work even stronger.
Kim has three dogs: Max, Pax, and Leo, and many farm babies as well! She lives on a farm in Springwater where she enjoys gardening, hunting, and making goat cheese in her spare time. Kim loves being able to bring her dogs, rabbits, goats, and sheep to local nursing homes to watch residents smile when they pet them and share stories with her of the special animals they previously shared their lives with.
She has always had a love of animals, and has passed that love on to her children as well. Between Amy and her three daughters, her family currently has 4 dogs, 8 cats, and a lizard. Her house has been home to many animals, including rescued dogs and cats, 3-day old kittens, ferrets, hamsters, a chinchilla, rabbits, ducks, and even a turtle! Her love of animals certainly shows when she is at work. She treats every patient as if they were her own.
A dog lover by nature, Laurel finds herself in the position of having two wonderful feline companions, one of which at least thinks he is a dog. In her spare time, Laurel can be found riding at a local stable and finding ways to combine her love of horses and traveling, making Wyoming one of her favorite destinations. After crossing Mongolia off her bucket list, Laurel has her sights set on a dream trip to Peru, riding on horseback to explore the countryside and seeing Machu Pichu. Laurie believes that earning an animal's trust is a gift and that the bond between a pet caretaker and their pet is filled with love and respect. She enjoys meeting all of our clients and their pets and getting to know the stories of their time together.
